Wow, what a great way to start the season.

Both teams played great (especially on offense). Both Brees and Rodgers were on fire and several Wide Receivers and a few Running Backs had monster games. Randal Cobb even got in a great, record tying (108 yards) special teams play on a kick return. The standouts: Robert Meacham, Darren Sproles, Devery Henderson and Marques Colston (suspected broken collarbone out 4-6 weeks), are all Saints are Wide outs. For the Packers we had  Randall Cobb (rookie wide out and kick returner for Green Bay),Greg Jenings and Jordy Nelson, GB Wide outs.  Packers Running Back James Starks put on a show, not so much for Saints Running back Mark Ingram.

It was a great game to watch and if you missed it you might want to check for it on-demand. I'm sure you will be able to find lots of highlights on line. You can also check out our new  video search feature in the League Office section of our web site. I can only imagine how many NFL Coaches are going to be changing their strategies to account for what they see in this games including the play by rookies. In fantasy if you check out the Yahoo Fantasy Football transactions you'll see plenty of ads for both Saints and Packer players.  It will be very interesting to see if they can keep up the pace and level of play displayed in this season opener.

So get a comfortable seat and some good snacks, Sunday is coming.
